An Introduction
On 7 March 2008, General Gregory Schmerdiakov announced the launch of slabovia.tv to celebrate 60 years of his glorious repression. It is essentially an online adaptation of the the national newspaper, The Potato, which includes the Slabplayer which hosts Slabovian Broadcasting Corporation's televisual output.
The General sees Slabovia.tv as an opportunity to grow the Slabovian population – through the handing out of digital passports – until it is bigger than any other country on earth. Then The General will have a fighting force capable of over-throwing the world!
This digital passport is integrated into The General’s notorious The Big N Brown Book – another giveaway for all Slabovian citizens. This book is a ‘how to’ of Slabovian living and a virtual toolkit of Slabovian stuff.
The Slabovian Broadcasting Corporation is notoriously fickle, and does not tolerate content (televisual or otherwise) that it deems non-Slabovian or not in keeping with The General’s opinion and tastes. On that note, it is also worth mentioning no TV commissioner in Slabovia has survived for more than six months (and by survived, it is meant that they were disposed of by The General).
